Since arriving in Marlborough Caro is a Trustee for Peptalk Foundation, a neuroscience based publication to work with mental wellbeing. Caro & Co have sponsored Inspire Foundation raising funds for talented under 23 yr old Sports or Arts young people to thrive.
Caro has been a fundraiser for over 17 years and a Trustee for 5 years for the Breast Cancer Research Ts (based out of Waikato for NZ) as Caro has seen many clients suffer from breast cancer, some only in their 20s, so the topic is close to her heart.
In April 2016 Caro & Co Insurance Specialists sponsored a well-supported New Zealand Women in Business lunch, which raised $1000 for the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust.
Keynote speaker National MP Louise Upston spoke on gender-related issues for women in business. Her theme was women need to support each other, understand and respect each other.
In March the previous year Caro & Co sponsored a Bespoke Health Forum cocktail party, again in support of the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust. Celebrity guests were 2014 My Kitchen Rules NZ winners Neena Truscott and Belinda MacDonald, who spoke about life after MKR..
2013 saw Caro leap head first into the cause. She took a firm hold of her courage, cast aside vanity, and had her head shaved to support the Breast Cancer Research Trust, raising over $7000.
Caro is often in demand as a guest speaker, offering support and advice to the likes of Cambridge Chamber of Commerce’s Optimum group, a networking group for home-based professionals and entrepreneurs.
Caro is a former executive member of Cambridge Chamber of Commerce NZ.
Caro was a Trustee for Waikato Diocesan School Proprietors Board for 9 years. Has sponsored; Homes of Hope Charitable Trust, Cambodian Charitable Trust, Surf Lifesaving New Zealand, St Stephens Anglican Church and Red Cross.
